Courses Handbook - [ Archived February ] This handbook contains information for courses and units at Curtin in Bachelor Degrees typically contain a series of units which may include compulsory core , optional or elective units to cater for student preferences. Students can take no more than credit points of first year level units. The course starts with a foundation business core, where students will explore value creation in business, learn to use financial information to make informed and responsible decisions, and develop business intelligence and analytical capabilities to interpret data in a meaningful way.
Following on from this, students choose one or two major areas of business in which to specialise and gain expertise, employing learned career management theories to plan success.
All students complete 5 common core units in Year 1 credits and a capstone unit in the final year. Refer to relevant Pathway for further structure information. This course is three years full-time or equivalent part-time study. Some units and majors may be available via external study. Some majors in this course are not available at all campus locations and to international students studying in Australia.
