I am not going to be able to tell corporate users, to restart a service. I need to script this, so that it happens automatically. I was hoping to use a trigger in the task scheduler to do this. Not sure if that is feasible, but I need to figure out some method to automate this so very non-technical, non-administrators can have full access to the software center ASAP after they gain VPN access to the domain. Clicking a button in software center does not require a technical user.
You can easily tell corporate users to click a button in the UI -- that's literally what they do all day long already. No one is expecting them to restart a service. Also, same answer, for the automation: there's no reason to restart the agent as you can fully automate the machine policy retrieval if you truly can't ask your users to click a button in the UI -- I'd say that's a very sad statement if true though.
